I just found out that the 16th is my last day. The head of the HR department told me today. The finance committee will not be allowing anymore money for a temp in the position any longer. It was approved before because of the back log and mess that I walked into when I started this temp job.
I am a bit down I was hoping to stay on in this position as a permanent worker. The best they can do for me is to hire me as an HR temp and hope that I can work into a job sooner or later.
Also today I found out today that I am showing all the signs and symptoms of having Rheumatoid Arthritis. I knew I had arthritis but not that kind. I also have the beginnings of Ostroprosis (SP?) and I am currently taking calcium. It just hasn't been a good day all the way around.
((Hugs)) I will keep you in my prayers!
ReplyDeletePenny, I'm sorry to hear about both your job and your health. :(
ReplyDeleteI will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. In the mean time try and keep stitching. With arthritis (which I have too) it does help keep the fingers moving and that's a good thing. :)
Hi Penny,
ReplyDeleteMy mom has arthritis in her hands and she's still stitching at age 81.
It does the hands very good to continue stitching as one of your other guests suggested; it's better than physical therapy I think!
I contacted you about the offer you made at sapphirestitching but haven't heard from you yet. I look forward to hearing from you when you're up to it. I'm not able to afford silks and would love to have some of yours. It's very kind of you to offer them. Lynn in OK
